It started with a call from a worried parent.
Our founder's college roommate had just paid ₹18,000 as an 'advance' for a Chennai PG that turned out to be a two-room flat with 14 beds. We didn't set out to build a company — we set out to make sure that call never happened again.
The first 12 hostels — walked, mapped, verified.
We rented a scooter, printed a clipboard checklist, and spent 4 weekends walking every PG in T. Nagar. Nine failed the inspection. The three that passed became our first listings. Every one is still with us today.
From a spreadsheet to a real platform.
By 2022, we were tracking 4,000 residents across 6 cities on a single Google Sheet. We turned the spreadsheet into a product — the platform you see today — so we could keep the trust, but scale the reach.
