MOHAP inspections have quietly tightened over the last 18 months. Here is the exact PPE stock every clinic, dental practice, and specialist centre we work with keeps on hand — with reorder thresholds we use in real audits.

The last two MOHAP surprise audits we joined our clinic partners on had one thing in common: the inspector opened the storage cupboard first. What they were looking for wasn't the total quantity of PPE — it was the mix and the traceability. A clinic with 5,000 masks but no gloves in the right sizes gets the same yellow flag as a clinic with nothing at all.

Based on ten clinics, four dental practices, and two dermatology centres we supply weekly, here is the mix that consistently passes inspection.

1. Three-ply masks — box of 50, minimum 10 boxes on hand. For a clinic seeing 40 patients a day, this is roughly two weeks of cover. Type IIR marking must be visible on the box. If the box says only 'medical mask' without a European or GCC certification, reorder from a different supplier.

2. KN95 or FFP2 respirators — 4 boxes on hand. These are for procedures with aerosol risk (dental scaling, respiratory exams, minor surgery). Individually wrapped is non-negotiable — inspectors will fail a box if the wrappers are missing.

3. Nitrile gloves in three sizes. Small, Medium, Large in a 60-30-10 ratio for most clinics. Vinyl is fine for reception but not for exam rooms. Powder-free is now the only acceptable format.

4. Isolation gowns — AAMI Level 2, single-use, 30-40 in stock. Keep a smaller pack of Level 3 for procedures. Both must be latex-free.

5. Face shields — a small pack of 10 reusable + a box of 25 disposable. Reusables save money on day-to-day use. Disposables are for isolation cases.

Reorder trigger: when any category drops below two weeks of forecasted use. We set client reorder points inside our own CRM and send a WhatsApp prompt before they run out.

Traceability paperwork. Keep the original supplier invoice AND the batch/lot number for every PPE box. Inspectors will ask, and 'I trust my supplier' isn't an accepted answer.
